On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires.
Special notes
Please note Thursday 17 July has an earlier start time of 7pm and attendees must be seated by 6.45pm at the latest. The production that night will be filmed as one of the National Theatre Live performances. This will include 360 degree filming. By purchasing tickets you are agreeing to be filmed and broadcast. There is also the possibility that moving cameras may temporarily obscure your view of sections of the stage.

It has been confirmed that Stephen Daldry will direct Matthew Beard, Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy in a major West End revival of David Hare’s Olivier award-winning play, Skylight.
