Bend It Like Beckham is the fantastically feel-good new modern British musical. A celebratory fusion of culture, music, emotions and fun, bursting with warmth, humour and heart.
Jess needs extra time. She is facing the most important decision of her life: live up to family expectations of university, career and marriage, or follow in the footsteps of her hero David Beckham.
When the talented teenager is spotted playing football in Southall, a world of unexpected opportunities opens up before her. But as her sister’s traditional Indian wedding approaches, can she keep her family happy and still follow her dreams?

Went with a group of students from Vienna, Austria. They are all very musical and were overwhelmed by the performance! Bend it Like Beckham had actually been our second choice when planning the trip to London, but we didnt regret it at all. My students comment: This afternoon show was the highlight, best moment, of our whole week in England! Thanks to the performers of the show. We can highly recommend it to everybody, especially to a teenage audience.
Excellent.........................
Great surprise. Uplifting musical. Great cast, music and staging.
A very lively colourful show with lots of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Loved it - but too many understudies (Jess & Tony both missing) to gain 5 stars. Lauren Samuels and Tony Jayawardena brilliant!
Everything from start to finish was fantastic!! The set, music, singing, acting, dancing were all excellent; I didn't want the show to end!! My only regret is that Bend it like Beckham is soon to close; I won't get to see it at the Phoenix Theatre again !! Many thanks to everyone involved.
A great feel good musical - full of energy, great dancing and some fabulous tunes - we loved it!
Great show shared with my nearly 13 year old granddaughter who loved it.
Got a good deal on these tickets and it was even better than I thought it would be. A feel good show, it was a surprise for my cousins and they were a bit apprehensive as they thought it was about football, but we all agreed would recommend and sit through it again. Thank you
Excellent production. Very funny spot on and culturally sharp. Shame it closes in March. Have recommended it to 5 friends to see before closure
Loved the show. It was funny, energetic and had some great dance routines, very Bollywood. The whole audience enjoyed the performance as was evidenced by the enthusiastic applause at the end.
It was not at all what I expected, the dancing was below standard and way too much singing, yes I know its a musical but there was song about every topic and was not needed at all.The Main character is mad about FOOTBALL but showed no FOOTBALL skills and the special effects with the football were pointless and very GCSE. Not what you expect for a west end show. Total let down only saving grace that the tickets were only a tenner. Will not be recommending anyone to watch this it 2 hours and 40 minutes that I never get back. If I could give it no stars I would.
